Chail Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in Chail, the 110 square km Chail Wildlife Refuge is a sizable refuge that is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Since its creation in 1976, Chail Sanctuary has been recognized by the government as a protected area.
The Chail Wildlife Sanctuary is heavily forested with oak and pine in addition to grassland. It supports a diverse assortment of plants and animals. Wild boar, goral, sambar, spotted deer, Himalayan black bear, common langur, Indian porcupine, flying squirrel, and other well-known animal species can be found in the park. The former Maharaja of Patiala brought European deer 50 years ago, but nobody has seen one since 1988, according to the poll.
